Sonic Colors for NDS Handheld
Sonic Colors is a 2010 handheld game from the Sonic series. It is considered one of the best Sonic games. The first time I slipped it in my DS Lite, it was very fun. Then I ran into a problem. I was halfway done with the game in 2 hours. Plus I beat the first two bosses without being hit. The problem:too short. It is a sort of good game, for casual gamers. If you were hardcore (or if you are), the game would be fully finished in 3 hours. There isn't much replay value. Next for the critiquing of the modes.
Play Game-
The main game which is really short. When you beat it, it would leave you feeling that it wasn't finished I give it a 7.0, for bringing an enjoyment for original Sonic fans and new fans alike. I do wish that it was more difficult so it would appeal to hardcore gamers.
Time Attack-
All it is, is plainly Eggman's Sonic Sim. Plus the leaderboards have all types of AR (Action Replay) users. I give this 4.0, for being identical to features from another mode and lack of originality. However, if you like the basic experience of Sonic and do not mind the AR users, this is a pretty good mode.
Options-
Self explanitory.
Game Land-
Time Attack, but instead you can lose lives. 3.0.

Event-Watch movies and clips here. I like the presentation of the movies, but the text is bland and you really wouldn't go back for more. 5.0
Sound-
Impressive. Just impressive. Only if you have all the sound though. 6.0
Illustrations-
In game terms, this is pointless. It does, however have a sense of accomplishment after you get all of them. 5.0
This pretty much concludes my first review. I give this game an overall 8.0 for excellent visuals, and for the fact that it feels like a sonic game, unlike some new entries (EX:Sonic Unleashed). I recommend this to fans of Sonic Rush, Sonic Advance, and anyone who likes Sonic. But I do have one thing to say, this doesn't include enough content to be, say 30 dollars. It feels more like 15 dollars. Until next time, eat your veggies and play your prescribed amount of handhelds.
